Maintenance Inspector Technician

Perform septic inspections on aerobic wastewater systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Routes will be pulled according to schedule and calendar.
- You are responsible for routing and calling customers the day before. This is very important.
- Start time is 7:00 A.M. It is very important to be here on time for morning meetings.
- You are responsible to keep your truck free of debris in cab area, any needed maintenance or repairs, and keeping your truck stocked for inspections.
- Perform inspections to the best of your ability based upon the training you received and the inspection report criteria, including skill level, warranty, logistics, and time restraint.
- Communication is top priority with both the office and the customer.
- Inspection reports should be legible to both office and customer.
- Turn in finished reports and any special notes to be resolved at end of each day.
- Do not leave any unfinished business.
- Plan ahead for your next day before leaving office, make sure route is together and call customers if needed.
Job Requirements
- Current drivers license.
- Drug and criminal background testing.
- Willing to work in all climates of weather.
- Ability to lift and load 50 pounds.
- Listen and follow directions.
- A quick learner.
- Take initiative.
- Positive attitude.
- Attend training classes to become maintenance technician.

Job Description
Cleaning of septic tanks
- Locating Tanks.
- Excavation of soil to access clean out ports in septic tanks. widget
- Cleaning out of septic tanks and washing tank down as to be completely empty. Please make note as to the location of the tanks- note any special instructions (if tanks are deep, if extra hoses are needed, etc.)
- Back filling excavation area and replacing grass where it can be saved.
- The filling of tanks with fresh water where needed (if Aerobic tanks). Turn power off when pumping AT, fill tank up and turn power back on before leaving location.
- Accomplish 5 location clean outs a day minimum in a 10 hour period.
Driver Responsibilities
- Pre-trip inspection of truck before leaving the yard area.
- Equipment checklist prior to leaving the yard area.
- Perform and/or assist in maintenance.
- Empty trucks before returning to yard area.
- Fill truck with fuel before leaving for the day.
- Call the office before leaving each location and contacting the next client.
- Ensure truck is clean and free of debris in cab area.
- Ensure suction hose is in good working condition.
- Attend driver meeting prior to leaving yard area at 7:15 A.M.
- Ensure all files have service write ups and receipts accompanying payment types.
- Ensure service work has been charted in back of file and GPS is noted on the front of file.
- Ensure that Dump books have been filled out correctly. Give office copy of all dump tickets for commercial locations.
- Drivers is responsible for any lost tools or equipment. This will be deducted from payroll check.
Job Requirements
- Class B CDL license with tanker endorsement and air brakes.
- Current Medical Exam Card.
- Drug & Criminal Background Testing.
- Positive Attitude.
- Willing to work in all climates of weather.
